Bonnie N. Feinzig began her legal career in 1989, in public service as an Assistant County Attorney with the Dutchess County Attorney’s Office, assigned to the Department of Social Services. From there she returned to her hometown of Putnam Valley serving as a Deputy County Attorney for Putnam County. After leaving the Putnam County Attorney’s Office in 1991, she began her career in private practice as an associate attorney with Spain & Spain, P.C., where she worked for over 28 years. As Senior Associate Attorney she handled various general practice matters for the firm, with a focus on residential and commercial transactional work and plaintiff’s personal injury cases, and was the firm’s litigation attorney. Prior to joining Hogan & Rossi, Ms. Feinzig was working at Stewart Title Insurance Company as in-house claims counsel.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Purchase College in 1985 and her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School in 1988. She was admitted to practice in 1988 in the New York State Second Judicial Department and is currently admitted to practice in New York State Courts, Federal District Courts for the Southern District of New York and the District of Connecticut and Federal Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Ms. Feinzig grew up and still resides in Putnam County. She has volunteered in her community for many years, serving as president of the not-for-profit Youth Court organization, treasurer of the Putnam County Women’s Bar Association, past president and current director of the Putnam County Bar Association, chairperson of the scholarship committee for the Putnam County Bar Association, and is the current president of the Putnam County Legal Aid Society.
